  • How many calories and carbohydrates are in a single Jelly Belly bean?

    There are 4 calories per bean, or about 100 calories per single serving (25 beans). They have approximately 1 gram of carbohydrate per bean and zero fat. Jelly Belly beans offer a satisfying burst of flavour for a modest calorie investment. They are also certified kosher by the Orthodox Union.

  • Are Jelly Belly jelly beans gluten free?

    We do not use any wheat, rye, barley, or oats in the basic recipe for Jelly Belly jelly beans. The modified food starch used in the manufacture of our jelly beans is cornstarch.

  • How many Jelly Belly beans are in one kilo?

    There are 882 Jelly Belly beans in one kilo. All counts are approximate, of course.

  • What makes Jelly Belly beans different from other jelly beans?

    Jelly Belly jelly beans differ from ordinary jelly beans because of their authentic and intense flavours, the number of flavours, the smaller size, the brilliant colors and, of course, the Jelly Belly name on every bean. Developed for the sophisticated palate, most Jelly Belly flavours use fine natural ingredients, whenever possible, to flavour the beans, i.e., chocolate, coconut, fruit juice concentrates and fruit purees like strawberry, pear and banana. These 'true-to-life' flavours are mixed into the center and the shell.

  • Are Jelly Belly jelly beans vegetarian/vegan?

    Jelly Belly jelly beans are vegetarian-friendly. They do not contain meat, gelatin, dairy or eggs. Please note that we use beeswax and confectioners glaze to seal in the flavor and give the beans their shine which may not be suitable for a vegan diet.

  • Do Jelly Belly Jelly Beans Contain Gelatin?

    No. Jelly Belly jelly beans are made from sugar, corn syrup, modified food starch (from corn), flavors and colors.

  • What is a Belly Flop?

    We make millions of pounds of Jelly Belly jelly beans each year. In the course of production, we produce a small percentage of what we call Belly Flops. These consist of misshapen beans, clusters of beans and off-color beans, all of which are perfectly edible. The flavor mixes in the Belly Flops vary according to the production schedule. Although we do our best to pack a variety of flavors in each bag, everyone is different and we cannot guarantee the selection of flavors. Part of the fun is anticipating which flavors you'll get.

  • WHAT COMMON ALLERGENS CAN BE FOUND IN JELLY BELLY JELLY BEANS?

    We take allergen issues seriously and want to provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions. With the wide variety of products we offer, we urge you to always check the ingredient labels on packages, but here is some information regarding common allergens.

    Peanuts: No peanuts or peanut ingredients are included in products manufactured in our factories and our manufacturing facilities are peanut free.

    Dairy: Jelly Belly jelly beans do not contain dairy. Please note that we do make other confections such as chocolate that do contain dairy so please check ingredient labels for specific information by product. Our chocolate items are made in a separate facility so as to prevent cross contamination with our Jelly Belly jelly beans.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A JELLY BELLY JELLY BEAN?

    It takes 7 to 14 days to make a Jelly Belly jelly bean (we're not kidding!). It's an involved process carried out by our master candy makers using both modern methods and age-old techniques.
